Joy in Our Every Day

I think one thing we forget to do as mom's is to take time for ourselves. I'll be the first one to admit that life since motherhood has been, more often than not, overwhelming. Especially with three so close in age. Though we have been extremely blessed to have so much live-in help since the twins came along, I still find myself sucked deep into the pit of "Mom Guilt" unable to make myself take time for...myself. It got to the point where I was just sad. Sad that I had become someone totally different than I used to be. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE our children with every fiber of my being and even when going grocery shopping or running errands I couldn't wait to get home to them because I just missed them. But I was also missing "joy." Joy that was easily washed away when all three were wanting held at once, or the dog was needing fed, or the bathrooms were needing tended to.
